BAND

Lough Key was formed in 2009 with the intent of putting together a group of musicians in the Front Range area of Colorado to offer new stylings of Irish/Celtic music.  Lough Key (pronounced like "low key") plays traditional irish/celtic tunes as well as original material.

Jennifer Pauley
flutes/whistles
Jennifer's music background is mostly classical, with a BM from the University of Wyoming in 2003 and a MM in performance from Texas Tech School of Music in 2005. Her interest in traditional Irish music began in Laramie while studying under Rod Garnett of Colcannon and continued with a learning session in Texas with Chris Smith of Last Night's Fun and Altramar. Since moving back to Colorado, Jennifer has become involved with the Lafayette based Small Circle Tune Learning Session and plays regularly at local sessions including Scruffy Murphy's and Connor O'Neils.
Paige Niederer
fiddle
Paige has been in love with Irish music since finding the music and the people that play it sometime around 1998. She takes workshop classes from traveling Irish fiddle teachers that come through Colorado and also enjoys music retreats around the country. Her favorite fiddle player and influence would probably be Martin Hayes. Session playing is a pastime and she helps run one in Fort Collins at Mulligan’s Pub. She was also a member of the band On Distant Shores, taught fiddle playing to children at a local school and judged a fiddle contest at the Rocky Mountain Irish Festival. Along with playing music she tries to fit in lots of outdoor fun enjoying the beauty of Colorado biking, skiing and hiking.
Melody Randall
guitar
Melody Randall is a software and business development expert by day, and a music maker by night, writing and arranging original material.   She also teaches guitar, running guitar clinics as well as private lessons.  She enjoys fly fishing, going to the movies and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Robyn Schulze
bodhrán, cajon, flute
Robyn wanted to play drums since she was a child. She finally began playing drumset in late 2001; she got interested in celtic music and picked up the bodhrán in May of '09. Robyn lives in north Boulder County and in her free time enjoys being with her family, riding horses and beekeeping.
